Fear has torn us all away from some significant accomplishment or victory. It sometimes stops us from even trying what we want to do in life. Life success does not mean that you will not fail but it means that your mistakes will teach you something and show you a better way to get what you want. One day your heart will stop beating, and none of your fears will matter. What will matter is how you lived. Below are 5 things you’re afraid of that keeps you back from success
1. FEAR OF FAILURE
Fear of failure keeps you back from success. When a person fails once, he gets demotivated for the rest of his life. This is the biggest mistake one can make. We should try again, keep working hard, stay determined and definitely, you will achieve what you want. In case if you still don’t achieve it, then take it as a positive sign that maybe something better is coming your way. Trying, again and again, is a key to success. Yes, when you fail, people might look at you, and talk about you, which will make you feel self-conscious but it is pretty normal when you are sure about your aims. Ignoring the failure and just thinking about success will remove the fear and take you towards the success. Every successful man has a list of failures which comes throughout the journey.
2. LACK OF CONFIDENCE
Another characteristic in which people lack, is self-confidence, it makes one afraid and keeps him back from success. People really need to know that we live in a free world and we have freedom of speech, freedom of action, and freedom of opinion. One should be confident enough about his idea, plan, and should implement it considering it the best. We should never de-grade our-self or our ideas because if we do so, the success road gets blur. Shy people are never good business mans, one of the biggest tool of an entrepreneur is confidence. He can sell an unwanted product to anyone by convincing him how important it is for him. Confidence is in built in some people but some can build it too, by trying to speak in front of mirror, try for public speaking, small debates and etc. These small strategies will really help you find your leadership skills and you can become a successful entrepreneur too. You should always do what your heart says you cannot.
3. FEAR OF BEING ALONE
Another fear which keeps you back from success is loneliness. One thinks that he cannot achieve his goals being alone. This is something I really don’t understand. There are billions of people in this world, every person has his own dreams and aims, and moreover, each and every one of us is striving hard for ourselves. We should not expect help from anyone because in this fast moving world if you get slow, you are left behind. We need to know what we want to do and just stay devoted, nobody has time to fulfill your dreams. It’s your road and yours alone. Others may walk in with you but nobody will walk for you. Once your goals are clear, the idea is big, planning and implementing strategies are made, then all you will need is believing in yourself.
‘Be strong enough to stand alone, smart enough to know when you need help, and brave enough to ask for it.’
4. FEAR OF APPEARING SELFISH
Appearing selfish is also a fear which keeps you back from success. It sometimes feels selfish to do anything for themselves so, instead, they do for everybody else. Moreover, this creates a feeling of resentment too, because neglecting your own needs and focusing on others makes you feel burdened, stressed, pressurized and very low. It is always recommended that one should give the first priority to himself and then to others, doing this doesn’t come under the heading of selfishness. Furthermore, it is s psychological imperative to ensure you’re emotionally nourished in your own right.
Sometimes when you do a lot for others, they get so much use to it that when at times you follow your own dreams, they criticize you for not helping and becoming selfish. Do for others, it’s a good habit but does not keep your aims on a stake. Do not sacrifice your dreams for others, otherwise, you are standing from where you began.
5. FEAR OF NOT BEING SKILLED ENOUGH
One of the basic fear is thinking that you are not skilled enough, this is the most hidden fear which moves you away from success. Lack of education, degree, experience doesn’t matter once you are determined to work hard and follow your goals. In order to overcome this problem, you need to find the reason for thinking this way. By trying to be neutral, you have to judge that if there is any reality in this fear or you are believing on what people think about you. Mostly it’s our assumptions so we need to sit down and be honest with our- self so that we can be kinder to our future. One should focus on the positive things other say about him so that he gets motivated to be himself, this will encourage him to be a better person. Having faith in himself will lead to a successful future.
